Some time ago, Planeta Feliz met a group of wonderful children from the primary school ‘La Argentina’ in Sumapaz, Colombia.
Many of these children had to walk from their homes for over an hour each way, every day to get to school and soon some will have to walk longer distances to make it to their new secondary school. Planeta Feliz wanted to reward the perseverance of these children with bicycles, which will help reduce their travel time through the impassable roads of Sumapaz and in turn motivate them to continue their education.
In September 2010, Planeta Feliz went to Colombia to deliver 56 bicycles to children from various schools in Sumapaz and had a special activity with them, where they were taught to ride a bicycle and follow the safety rules to prevent accidents.
Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.
